GENTLE CLEANINGS Research tells us the health of the gums can affect other systems in the body such as the heart and low birth weight babies. We encourage patients to have oral health visits with the hygienist on a regular basis. Your visit will include an exam, x-rays, and an oral cancer screening. Our hygienists provide gentle, stress-free visits.
Research tells us the health of the gums can affect other systems in the body, such as the heart and low birth weight babies. Upon learning this, we carefully screen each patient for periodontal disease. Our hygienists are experienced in treating periodontal involved patients with non-surgical periodontal therapy.
We want to give each patient the smiles they want and deserve. Factors such as diet and age can darken our teeth. With our in-office bleaching system, you can improve your smile in one hour. Another option is our custom bleaching trays which can whiten your teeth in 7-10 days. Ask a team member how to win free, custom tray bleaching.
Seeing is believing. To help our patients better understand proposed treatment, we have an intraoral camera that enables us to take up-close pictures of teeth and gums. The images are then displayed on a monitor for patients to see. This has taken the "fear of the unknown" factor out of our office.
With this new technology, patients can leave our office with their porcelain crown, inlay or onlay. There are no more sensitive, temporary crowns of the past. There are fewer visits, and the Cerec eliminates dark margins from metal backed crowns.
Periodontal disease is an infection of the gum tissue caused by bacteria from plaque. At the beginning stages of the disease, the patient will feel no pain, but may experience slight bleeding of their gums. If the disease is more advanced, the gums and supporting bone may suffer serious damage resulting in possible tooth loss.
We often refer to this disease as the "silent" disease because patients are usually unaware until the bone is deteriorated and teeth are lost. To prevent patients from experiencing tooth loss, we carefully screen each patient at their oral health visits. If disease is detected, we can treat the gums through non-surgical periodontal treatment. Each patient will then have an individualized periodontal management program.
